Welcome to the re-launched Everton FC Shareholders’ Association website, efcsa.org. Whilst our website has been online for many of years the Executive Committee recognised that the website should be regularly updated to address many of the pertinent issues currently affecting the club.

In response, it is our intention to offer the reader a website that not only address’ matters pertinent to the team and the manager but issues that also concern the now all important business side of Everton Football Club.

We hope that the website will prove to be a valuable resource to not only members of the Shareholders Association and other shareholders of the Club, but also the wider Evertonian community who will be able to review and consider the business side of the Club and its impact on team affairs and ultimately the success of the Club.

We hope you find the site of interest and revisit it over the weeks and months ahead as it evolves.

EFC AGM 2015 – The Questions

The Association has been working with the football club since June 2015 to plan for a successful Annual General Meeting and agreed to capture and collate questions in advance to allow the Company to answer them as fully as possible and ease the process of the Annual General Meeting.

The submission of these “in advance” questions was done on the understanding that their provision does not in any way limit the rights of shareholders or their representatives from asking questions at the Annual General Meeting.

The questions were all submitted by shareholders of the Everton Football Club Limited with the first version of this document having been submitted to the Club on November 3rd. The most recent, and current version, of the document was submitted on November 21st.

Everton FC Limited AGM 2015 – Questions

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Everton Football Club Limited will take place this year on November 23rd at the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool with the meeting starting at 6pm.

The meeting will be chaired by Chairman of the Company Mr Bill Kenwright who will oversee a report on the performance of the Club since the last AGM and provide an opportunity for Shareholders, or their representatives, to question past and future performance.

The Shareholders’ Association have been in dialogue with club representatives over many months with a common objective of making the meeting as productive as possible. A major consideration in the planning has been the fact that the majority of Shareholders are unlikely, for a variety of reasons, to attend the meeting or send a representative in their place.

The Association has therefore committed to capturing and collating questions on behalf of Shareholders, these will then be presented to the Secretary of the Club in good time to facilitate the Club answering all questions as part of the AGM proceedings.

It should be noted that this process will in no way limit attendees, be they shareholders or their representatives, from asking questions at the meeting.

Indeed it is expected that the Club will answer every question that is asked regardless of whether this is in advance or at the meeting.

If you’d like to pose a question in advance please complete the form below;

Howard Kendall

howard-kendall-453204836On October 17th we heard of the sad loss of Everton’s most successful manager Howard Kendall.

Many people will rightly remember him for the great success he enjoyed as our manager when he built one of the finest and most successful teams ever to grace Goodison Park.

We shouldn’t however overlook what a wonderful player he was too. His ability and vision to pick out passes short or long was a delight to behold.

Those who had the pleasure to see him play will remember it as if it was yesterday and his membership of the wonderful Holy Trinity will live long in all our memories.

Howard Kendall was a gentleman, a great footballer and a terrific manager, and his legacy is one that is true to his deserved status as a legend.

He will be rightly remembered and respected by all Evertonians and the wider football community as one of the greats.

Our thoughts are with his wife Lily; children, Simon, Hayley and Lisa; and his family and friends at this very sad time.

Shareholders’ Association Forum with Everton Supporters’ Trust & Everton Former Players’ Foundation

The Everton Football Club Shareholders’ Association are pleased to announce that our first Association Forum for this season will take place on Tuesday 3rd November in the People’s Club Lounge (Park End) at Goodison Park.

The Forum will start at 7:30pm and there will be tea and coffee available from 7pm, so please arrive in time to enjoy the hospitality and lively chat about all things blue that also happens on these occasions before we get going.

The forum is open to all, is free for Association Members but we do ask for a small donation of £2 from non-members to cover the cost of refreshments.

Fomer Players LogoWe are also pleased to announce that Henry Mooney of the Everton Former Players’ Foundation will also be coming along and will give a presentation on the work and commitment carried out by the Foundation.

The Association has been supporting the Foundation for many years now and we thought it would be great to see how our donations are helping our former hero’s and are hoping to be honoured by the presence of a couple of former players.

We hope EST1878 Logoyou have read or heard in the media about the recent launch of the Everton Supporters’ Trust (EST) and we are delighted to announce that Simon Magner, EST Chairman and Andy Craven, EST Secretary have both agreed to come along to explain just what the EST is all about and will answer any questions that people may have.

Simon Magner has been a match going Evertonian since he watched his first match, sadly a home loss to Coventry, in the 1994/95 season and was a Season Ticket holder in the Lower Gwladys for over 15-years. With the financial black hole that comes with children he’s now a bit of a nomad and sits anywhere he can in the ground.

Professionally Simon works in IT for the NHS and as a “football activist” has been involved in a variety of local and national projects over the years. Alongside being the Chairman of the Trust he’s also a National Council Member of the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF).

Andy Craven has been a full time Evertonian since his first match as a 4-year old in 1981. He’s travelled home and away over the years and is now housed as Season Ticket Holder in the Paddock.

A qualified CIMA Accountant since 2006 Andy runs his own business providing support to public sector, private sector and charitable organisations from a financial, commercial and business process perspective.

Andy has combined the roles of Secretary & Treasurer for the Trust since August 2015.

The Forums are always very interesting and informative and a great chance to mix and chat with fellow Evertonians so we hope that as many of you as possible are able to attend.

EFCSA Supports Everton Charities

The Shareholders’ Association recently made donations totalling £2,500 to three Everton-related causes.

A sum of £1,000 was given to the Everton Former Players’ Foundation (EFPF) with a further £1,000 also sent to the Former Players’ Foundation in Chile which was set up to replicate the much-praised work of the EFPF in helping our ex-players.

The other £500 was donated in support of the award winning work done by Everton in the Community.

The donations to the Former Player Foundations were made following the success of the annual dinner, which was held this year in May in memory of longstanding committee member Tony Heslop who suddenly passed away in January. Tony was also a leading light in developing links with the Everton football club in Chile and these two donations were made with Tony in mind.

The Association’s income comes from the annual subscriptions paid by members; proceeds from the annual dinner at Goodison Park; and voluntary donations made by members who were successful in the annual ballot to use two tickets for the Directors’ Box that the club provides to the Association for each home game.

John Stones Signing

John Stones & Artist Thomas Regan 190815Over the last couple of years we have commissioned a number of works from local artist Thomas Regan.

Following on from previous portraits of Roberto Martinez and John Stones we visited Finch Farm earlier today for a signing of our latest acquisition.

Shareholders who attended our annual dinner may have seen Thomas working on the painting which overall took him two weeks to complete.  His previous portrait was successfully auctioned at our Annual Dinner with proceeds resulting in a donations to the Everton Former Players Foundations.

Thomas’ work is in great demand and we’re pleased to support such a talented local artist who is of course a full-on Evertonian.   The work was commissioned by our Chairman in recognition of John’s first Premier League goal in the emphatic home victory over Manchester United back in April.

John Stones - Signs 190815A very relaxed and impressed John Stones joined us in the restaurant at Finch Farm and signed the painting which brought back happy memories of his goal and celebration.

We’d like to extend our thanks to the Club and specifically John himself, Helen Mayo and Darren Griffiths for making time after training to meet with us.

More of Thomas’ work can be found here Toffee Art
