Celebrations of Dixie -
a tribute to the man heralded as Merseyside's gratest hero
All shareholders are invited to a forum meeting at which plans will be presented for events during Capital of Culture year to celebrate the unique William Ralph (Dixie) Dean.
Arts2u Limited are holding activities in May 2008 to celebrate the anniversary of Dixie Dean. 5th May 2008 sees his 80th Anniversary of an unbeaten record of 60 goals in one season.
Arts2u are producing The Dixie Dean Story written by John Keith, to be held at Liverpool Olympia Theatre in West Derby Road. This theatre experience will incorporate digital technology, music and football. The two-hour production will showcase Dixie’s triumphant times through to his dying day. There will be special guest appearances from Dixie’s family with participation from past and present football players.
The launch for this production will take place at the Shareholder Forum. Robert Elstone from Everton Football Club, local and national press along with local television & radio companies are invited.
